Richard Bacon papers, 1818-1850.

A collection of letters to Richard Bacon and his family. The Bacons lived in Simsbury, Connecticut. Several of the letters were from Bacon to his wife, Laura or his son, Richard. The early letters focus on Bacon establishing himself in business. He also writes about his son's education in Hartford and his daughter, Harriet's, possible education at Miss Griswold's. Later letters are between Harriet Bacon Eno and her sister Jennett Bacon Fuller, and between members of the Eno family.
